The Creative Director of one of Copenhagen’s most renowned bakeries, Hart Bageri, says that; “There’s a deep connection between culture and food, especially baked goods in Denmark, and it’s a country that empowers you to enjoy a conversation with a colleague, friend or family member over a shared treat”. Sticking to the theme of food, our next category is where to eat! Copenhagen is the Nordic city with the most Michelin star restaurants and has an up and coming street food scene. FIKA:

In typical Scandi style, we had to include the best coffee spots to take a moment for Fika. Fika is a traditional cultural practice originating from Sweden that means to take a moment to appreciate life, check in with friends and family, typically with a coffee in hand. Copenhagen has a variety of first class breweries across the city, it was tough but we managed to narrow down coffee shops that are worth a visit:

AN INSPIRATIONAL 48 HOURS AT CPHFW

Exploring CIFF trade show, an evening with the Dea Kudibal team and trend spotting at the CPHFW shows…

We had such a wonderful time in Copenhagen this week, attending CIFF · Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, where our brands MEIMEIJ, Isabelle Blanche, Edblad & Co, Campomaggi, BRGN and BITTE KAI RAND were exhibiting.

As well as exploring the trade show, meeting with brands and customers, and attending a showcase event hosted at the beautiful Dea Kudibal showroom, we also had time to get lots of style inspiration from the runway shows and amazing street style looks!

As our Director Caroline told Drapers: "It is very inspiring to be here. It is a melting pot of fashion – you get a full 360 of fashion [due to the trade show and catwalks taking place at the same time] and it is very inclusive that way.”

We can't wait to return to Copenhagen for the next edition of the show!

THAT'S A WRAP ON ANOTHER SCOOP TRADE SHOW!

That's a wrap on another successful SCOOP!

From the 14th to the 16th of July we showcased a selection of our brands' SS25 collections at the trade show in Kensington Olympia including: Caroline Svedbom, Edblad, GLAS, Bitte Kai Rand and Valérie Khalfon, as well as launching two new exciting brands as part of the Oldstrom family: Isabelle Blanche and Vivere.

It was great to see so many of our existing clients, chat with some new faces and experience the love and excitement for our brands!

We look forward to returning to SCOOP for the AW25 edition next February.

WHAT TO WEAR TO CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW

The Summer social calendar will soon be kicking off with the iconic RHS Chelsea Flower Show- an annual event held at the historic Royal Hospital Chelsea, running from the 21st to the 25th of May.

If you managed to grab some tickets this year, then you might be in need of a little outfit inspiration. Here are a few of our recommendations for event-appropriate looks.

We know, as Miranda would say “Florals for Chelsea Flower Show… groundbreaking” but in this case it really is a perfect match!

A summery, day dress is a great, easy option to nail the smart/casual dress code. Pair with a comfy trainer to get you through the day and some statement jewellery, like these Caroline Svedbom Petite Rope and Anemone styles, to add an extra touch of glamour to the look.

Chelsea Flower Show is the perfect excuse to pull out the linen pieces from summer wardrobe storage.

This set from Sand Copenhagen would be light and comfortable for a day in the sun, but still gives a crisp and sophisticated look, especially when layered with an Italian-tailored, double-breasted cream blazer.

This gorgeous set from the Sand Copenhagen SS24 collection ticks many of the dress code boxes:

Dress the look up or down with wedges, sandals or a pair of trainers and finish off with a bag of your choice.

On a really hot day, a straw fedora and a pair of sunglasses would be the perfect accessories to help protect your face from the sun. On the 24th of April, we hosted our AW24 press day at our showroom in Shoreditch!

It was such a wonderful day showcasing the latest collections from all of our beautiful brands including Edblad, GLAS Eyewear, Campomaggi, Dea Kudibal, Mei MeiJ, Bitte Kai Rand, Sand Copenhagen, Caroline Svedbom and Van Kukil.

An exciting guest list including key press, influencers and stylists, all brought the best vibes to the event and made the day a joy to host!
